Define "LIFE"...
Is it the warmth of soaking in the morning sunshine?
Is it the ecstasy of getting drenched in first monsoon rain?
Is it the happiness found in a child's milk-toothed smile?
Is it the feel of walking on grass many a mile?
Is it the awe of dreaming and waking up to find it come true?
Is it the smell of mom's coffee freshly brewed?
Is it the measure of profundity that engulfs us when we stare at the sky?
Is it the pleasure of watching a scarlet sunset against the backdrop of twilight?
Is it the beauty of rose petals coated with dew drops?
Is it the innocence found in the friendship of five year olds?
Is it the tenderness of the evening breeze that sings to your heart?
Is it the wonder of watching a zillion diamonds strewn about, called stars?
Is it the nostalgic memories found in reading a long forgotten letter?
Is it the comfort found in knowing that someone somewhere does care?
Is it the peace attained in walking on the silver shores of the sea?
Is it the experience of falling down and getting up with your head held high?
What is life, but truly a miracle of creation...
What is life, if not a never-ending but enchanting exploration?

the poem was very different,I think Rudyard Kippling gave the inspiration! it exhibits your profound warmth for experiences around you. It is really really very enchanting to see your blog.
You have beautifully described the
joy of nature. All kudos for a wonderful treat of natures creations. It is very classic.
Wish you many more such thoughts
and writings.

Well dude..There is an old saying which says once you have beaten the best…. Then you have no one else but to outdo yourself… well looks like your poems are doing that now.. after easily topping the best in the trade.. ala Wordsworth… now you are outdoing yourself :)
Coming to the blog.. First of all.. the caption and the picture … TOTALLY sets in the mood for whats gonna come after that ..simply too good… I loved the questions all along.. my favourite ( among many lines) being .. Innocence in the friendship of five year olds, soaking in the morning sunshine, getting drenched in the first monsoon rain.. well I guess I will go on and rewrite the whole poem if I start quoting my favs. .. the thing I loved the most about “ Define life” is.. the poem just seemed to flow.. and in the flow it seemed to rhyme.. every line makes one think - what the hell does she/he have to complaint about in life.. there is joy and beauty all around.. but the question is do we choose to see it.. do we choose to enjoy it.. do we choose to explore the beautiful creations around us and find happiness in them… yeah there might be things to worry about.. but hey atleast the sight of these beautiful thigns surrounding us should easethe pain out a little bit
Lady you just touched every dimension of beauty with this poem.. from taking the most minute thing as the “ happiness in a childs milk tooth smile”.. to the beauty of nature… like the sky , scarlet sunset, evening breeze, diamond strewn stars..amazingly brought out.. Trust me buddy - I am in awe with the dream spell you have just caste with your poem and I am hoping to wake up and find it come true :) {To quote a famous poet - “ Is it the awe of dreaming and waking up to find it come true?” ;)}

Define Life ...
Is is the chill of the winter evening?
Chill, especially on a loose shirt..
Loose shirt, in the hut,
After a long day of work
The mud, the cement,
The bricks, the water,
All to quench, the hunger
What is life? But truly a miracle of creation..
What is life?
If not for the hearty meal..
After a long days work,
At the construction site..
